Kathy King was more than the President of the Friends of the Children’s Advocacy Center when she passed away in March 2007. Her unexpected and untimely death reminded all who knew her just how much she meant to Kathy Kingthe entire Brevard community, and how her absence would create a terrible empty space in all our lives.

Kathy was here in the early days of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Brevard, adding her unique insights and lending her tireless energy to ensure this place for abused kids was the best of the best.

We will not forget her sense of humor, her sense of justice, or her deep compassion. When talking about Kathy King, pages and pages could be written about how she exhibited each of these qualities…each and every day.

Her impact on those associated with the Children’s Advocacy Center of Brevard perhaps cannot be best measured in what people say about her but in the results of what Kathy did day in and day out. The thousands of changed lives throughout this and other communities are a testament to her ability to just go about doing good.
