What is the Children's Advocacy Center of Brevard (CACB)?

It is a child-centered setting where children who are abused come to tell their stories. Professionals from The Child Protection Team of Brevard, the Department of Children & Families, Local Law Enforcement, The Brevard County Sheriff's Office, Mental Health Professionals and the Office of the State Attorney work together, under one roof, to effectively resolve child abuse cases.

Healing the Hurt of Child Abuse

In the past, child abuse victims were subjected to numerous interviews as information was gathered about their case. Victims were shuttled from agency-to-agency, often having to recount their traumatic experiences to numerous strangers. The agencies involved did not always communicate effectively, making cooperation difficult at best. Clients were given conflicting information, cases were lost or dropped, and families were falling through the cracks.

Not Today! Now families have the Children's Advocacy Center of Brevard.
